Ellen Calvert produces items for the home by combining familiar and homely textile crafts with vintage cloth to create original fabric products. Each unique item has been reclaimed and then upholstered with Ellen's knitted, embroidered and printed fabric. Merging these traditional and classic techniques with contemporary design, Ellen produces a range of innovative and sustainable products.

Knitted school chair

Familiar 1930's tubular chairs have been reclaimed with a clean and robust powder-coated finish. The seat and back of the chairs are upholstered with comfortable hand-knitted fabric made from strong British wool, printed and embroidered with Ellen's original floral and geometric patterns to add bright accents of tonal colours.

Available with Turquoise, Coral, Ocre and Navy embroidery.

Hand-knitted cushions

Hand-knitted cushions made from durable wool that has been screen printed with Ellen's original designs. Accents of tonal colour are added with tapestry style hand embroidery. Each cushion has a vintage fabric back made from discarded cross-stitched table linens, and are filled with feather down pads.

Floor cushion 1m x 1m, smaller cushions 40cm x 40cm. Available with Turquoise, Coral, Ocre and Navy embroidery.

Motto samplers

Satirical wall pieces made from vintage hand-embroidered handkerchiefs.

Creating a twist on the traditional 'home-sweet-home' embroidery sampler, Ellen screen prints and embroiders original mottos onto these upcycled fabrics to produce limited edition pieces that are reflective of modern life.
